By accessing or using SimuVote, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the service. SimuVote is a free platform designed for conducting transparent elections - both Private (for groups, organizations, and committees) and Public (for community polls, talent shows, and public referendums).
1. Use of Service
SimuVote provides a platform for conducting transparent elections. The service is free to use for lawful purposes only.
1.1 Account Responsibilities
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- Accurate Information: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account or registering as a voter.
- One Account Per User: Each user may create only one account. Multiple accounts for the same person are prohibited.
1.2 Prohibited Activities
- Vote Manipulation: Attempting to manipulate votes, create fake accounts, or interfere with the voting process is strictly prohibited.
- Unauthorized Access: You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or election rooms.
- Automated Tools: Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the platform is forbidden.
- Commercial Use: The service may not be used for commercial purposes without explicit written permission.
2. User Conduct
All users must adhere to the following code of conduct:
Private Elections
- Only participate in elections where your phone number has been pre-approved by the admin
- Do not share your voting credentials with others
- Propose nominees fairly and honestly during nomination phase
- Respect the outcome of the election
Public Elections
- Provide accurate personal information during registration
- Do not create multiple accounts to vote multiple times
- Do not share your verification codes with others
- Report any suspicious activity to admins
All users must not:
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate others
- Use the platform for illegal activities or to promote hate, violence, or discrimination
- Post or share inappropriate content through the platform
- Attempt to circumvent vote limits or verification processes
3. Election Creation and Management
3.1 Admin Responsibilities
The creator (admin) of an election room is responsible for:
Private Elections
- Adding only legitimate group members with valid phone numbers
- Setting appropriate positions for the election
- Defining reasonable nomination and voting timelines (max 6 days total)
- Ensuring the election is conducted fairly
- Managing member access and resolving disputes
Public Elections
- Creating clear and appropriate categories
- Adding nominees with accurate information
- Setting the election duration (max 10 days)
- Monitoring reports and spam flags
- Taking appropriate action against violators
3.2 Election Integrity
- One Vote Per Person: The system enforces one vote per person per category/position.
- Vote Finality: In private elections, votes cannot be changed once cast. In public elections, votes cannot be changed once cast.
- Results Delay: Results are visible 24 hours after voting ends to ensure proper verification.
- Auto-deletion: All election data is automatically and permanently deleted after the results period.
4. Data Privacy and Deletion
Your Data Protection
Private Elections: Member data (names, phone numbers) is stored only for the duration of the election and deleted within 6 days.
Public Elections: Voter data (names, phone numbers, emails) is stored only for the duration of the election and deleted within 10 days.
Vote Anonymity: Individual votes are stored anonymously and cannot be traced back to specific voters.

5. Intellectual Property
SimuVote and its content, including but not limited to the software, design, text, graphics, logos, and icons, are owned by PigaTech Softcompany and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the service without explicit written permission.
- You retain ownership of any content you submit (e.g., election names, nominee information), but you grant us a license to host and process that content for the purpose of providing the service.
- The SimuVote name and logo may not be used without prior written consent.
6. Limitation of Liability
SimuVote is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
6.1 No Warranties
- We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any election results.
- We are not responsible for technical failures, data loss, or corruption.
6.2 Limitation of Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PigaTech Softcompany shall not be liable for:
- Errors in vote counting due to technical issues (though we strive for accuracy)
- Disputes arising from election results or misuse of the platform by admins or members
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the service for violations of these terms without prior notice.
7.1 Grounds for Termination
- Creating fake accounts or manipulating votes
- Harassing other users or admins
- Using the platform for illegal activities
- Repeated violations of these terms
7.2 Election Termination
Admins may terminate their own elections at any time. In public elections, valid spam reports may lead to termination of specific nominees or the entire election at the admin's discretion.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
- Continued use of SimuVote after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
- If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the service.
- We will notify users of significant changes via email when possible.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of SimuVote shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tanzania.
